Salon Plaza Opens First Virginia Beach Location At Hilltop Shopping Center

Beauty Mall Gives Local Professionals the Chance
To Have A Business of Their Own

Salon Plaza, a beauty mall with individual suites offering hair, skin and nail care services, is now open at Hilltop Shopping Center in Virginia Beach. The beauty mall allows clients to have private, personalized salon service and gives licensed stylists a chance to run a business of their own.

"Salon Plaza is a great opportunity for Virginia Beach area beauty industry professionals," said Julie Badura, sales and leasing consultant for the Northern Virginia-based company. "A lot of stylists have a dream out of beauty school to be on their own. Salon Plaza makes that possible with hardly any investment up front."

The Salon Plaza concept is relatively new to the beauty industry and caters to licensed hair stylists and skin and nail technicians who want to set their own prices and hours and provide their own brand of services. Tenants are even free to name their salon. Suites are self-contained and offer everything the salon owner needs including a sink, shampoo bowl, a stylist chair, nail tables and a furniture package. The Hilltop Shopping Center location still has several suites available.

There are 11 Salon Plazas located in Virginia and Maryland, including one at Broad Creek Center in Norfolk as well as the Hilltop location. Salon Plaza is one of several business units owned by Ratner Companies, the parent company of Hair Cuttery. Owned by founder and CEO Dennis Ratner, Ratner Companies is headquartered in Falls Church, VA.
