Event
Gives Professionals A Taste
Of Having A Business of Their
Own
February,
2002 - Salon
Plaza,
a beauty mall with individual
suites offering hair, skin and
nail care services, is hosting
a Grand Opening and Open House
Monday,
Feb. 25 from
11
a.m. to 2 p.m.
at 1527
Congressional Plaza North
in Rockville,
just off Rockville Pike. The
event is for licensed stylists
who are interested in owning
their own business and also
for clients who are interested
in Salon
Plaza's
services.
"Salon
Plaza is a great
opportunity for people in the
beauty industry to own their
own business," said Julie
Badura, sales and leasing
consultant. "A lot of stylists
have a dream out of beauty school
to be on their own. Salon
Plaza makes that
possible with hardly any investment
up front."
The Salon
Plaza concept is
relatively new to the beauty
industry and caters to licensed
hair stylists and skin and nail
technicians who want to set
their own prices and hours and
provide their own brand of services.
Tenants are even free to name
their salon. Suites are self-contained
and offer everything the salon
owner needs including a sink,
shampoo bowl, a stylist chair,
nail tables and a furniture
package. Salon
Plaza has two wings
of suites, one with 31 suites
and the second, scheduled to
open soon, with 12. Suites range
in size from 110 sq. ft for
singles to more than 300 sq.
ft. for triples. There are suites
available in both wings.
Attendees
at the open house will have
an opportunity to talk with
leasing and operations personnel
and talk one-on-one with stylists
and technicians already leasing
suites. Refreshments will be
served and door prizes awarded
throughout the event. For more
information, contact Julie Badura
at 540.338.5147.
There
are 11 Salon
Plazas
located in the Washington, D.C.,
Richmond and Norfolk, VA areas.
Salon
Plaza
is one of several business units
owned by Ratner
Companies,
the parent company of Hair
Cuttery.
