Ratner Companies started with one salon and two Stylists back in 1974. Dennis Ratner was an up-and-coming hairdresser working in his father's Louis salon in Washington, D.C. It was the beginning of a new era, and Dennis envisioned a unisex salon convenient for the whole family. Over dinner with then-wife and fellow Stylist Ann, Dennis sketched on a cocktail napkin a business plan that laid the groundwork for the first Hair Cuttery salon. Ratner Companies signs on as presenting sponsors for Pink Jams! and Christian Siriano fashion event

October 21 live-music fashion event supporting breast cancer
awareness announced

July 6, 2011 (Washington, DC) – PINK JAMS!, a Washington, D.C. area breast cancer awareness charity, announces that Bubbles and Cibu, brands of Ratner Companies, will serve as the 2011 presenting sponsors for the organization's 2011 Pink Rocks the Runway™ charity fashion event.

The fashion show, Pink Rocks the Runway™ will include signature pink couture designs from some of Washington, D.C.'s talented local designers, created for this event modeled by young breast cancer survivors. Christian Siriano, working in collaboration with Pink Jams! will feature his entire Spring 2012 collection on the runway. The event will take place at the International Trade Center in Washington, D.C on Friday, October 21.

International designer Siriano, originally from Annapolis, said, "I am proud to collaborate with Pink Jams! to raise breast cancer awareness for young women in the DC area. Pink Rocks the Runway will be fun and fantastic. I am excited to come home and bring the New York fashion scene with me."
