WOW 2003
April,
2003 - Forget the stodgy
luncheons and boring retreats.
Hair Cuttery honored 200 of
its best and brightest in true
Hair Cuttery fashion in February:
with inspiring workshops led
by industry greats like Sam
Villa and Michael Cole, Mexican
fairs and dinner parties, dips
with the dolphins and wet bike
tours during the company' s
National WOW Event in Cancun,
Mexico in February.
During the
four-day celebration, Hair Cuttery
founder Dennis Ratner presented
the company' s coveted "
WOW Awards" for outstanding
leadership and customer satisfaction
to those who received top scores
for exemplary service to clients
and colleagues alike.
" These
leaders and salon teams work
hard to build relationships
among their salon teams and
with their clients," says
Ratner. " Our company philosophy
puts people first, and we' re
proud to recognize those within
it who put that philosophy into
practice."
Twice every
year, the staff of each Hair
Cuttery salon in the United
States completes a leadership
survey. Stylists are asked to
rate their salon leaders based
upon his or her success in upholding
the company values in the salon.
The values are: self-confidence,
building relationships, teamwork,
quality of life and integrity.
At the same time, clients rate
individual salons based upon
customer service.
The Tuckahoe
Hair Cuttery salon team from
Richmond, VA received the company'
s highest customer service award
as voted by clients of that
salon.
Receiving
the company' s highest leadership
scores as voted by their salon
team members were:
- Loretta
Layhue-Pettit, Jonathan'
s Landing salon, Jupiter,
FL – Top Assistant Salon
Leader.
- April
Petrus, Broaddale,
Falls Church, VA; Mohamed

Anne

Lakes, Palm Bay, FL; and Mikki

With their
national awards, these recipients
are now members of Hair Cuttery'
s " WOW Club," reserved
only for those whose top scores
have earned them a trip to the
company' s national event in
Cancun. Ratner says that being
a member of this elite group
not only inspires non-members
to strive to be part of the
club, but it also instills a
sense of pride and ownership
in WOW Clubbers. Hair Cuttery
reports a 98 percent retention
rate among the 400 members of
the WOW Club. " That' s
exactly what we' re all aiming
for," Ratner added. "
To be so happy with our jobs
that we want to stay here for
life and take advantage of the
many opportunities for growth
and change."
